WHAT IS THE UPM PROGRAM?

The Urgent Priority Management Program is a ‘smart program’ that updates itself accordingly to bring the highest efficiency, in the prevention of the Anthropocene mass extinction, restoration of the world's biodiversity and conservation of a healthy global ecosystem.

The UPM Program is inspired by Natural Selection, and like so, it applies, preserves, and fosters favourable actions and adaptations and rejects the injurious ones.

URGENCY

We lose entire ecosystems and species that receive little or no conservation attention, whilst being an important part of healthy biodiversity.

Many conservation organisations focus on species or ecosystems that are conservation-ineffective in the grand scheme of halting the current mass extinction. We must concentrate on the species in the biggest peril of extinction by establishing urgency levels.

PRIORITY

Once the urgency levels are established, prioritisation then comes into play, replacing less impactful endeavours with highly efficient focal targets.

MANAGEMENT

The urgent priorities must then be precisely managed to cover a wider range and increase the highest levels of efficiency.

The management of the urgent priorities is then brought to life by the smart program, which shapes the plasticity to keep adapting it to maintain the highest efficiency in halting the current mass extinction and restoring the health of our planet.

*These three points are closely aligned, connected, and imbricated.

THE MASS EXTINCTION OF TODAY

We are currently in the midst of the Anthropocene mass extinction, the only mass extinction event in history caused by a single species - Human.

In less than 500 years, we have driven up to 30% of all species to extinction, and a further 1 million threatened species are to vanish in the coming decades.

These human-induced environmental issues are contributing to the disruption of the balance and the forthcoming collapse of life on our planet.
This includes our own extinction also.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to stop the current mass extinction, restore biodiversity and conserve the future. This is a monumental task, but this very mission is the founding reason behind this project. The serious and urgent threat of mass extinction (humankind included) requires a new way of thinking and, regardless of circumstances, fast and effective operations.
