NT REPTILE SHOWS

NT Reptile Shows was one of our environmental education services, which operated in the tropical Top End of the Northern Territory, Australia.

Whilst showcasing captive Australian native reptiles, bones and teeth, photographs and video footage, or crocodile tours, the public or students learnt anything from the lives of our unique reptiles, their evolutionary development, biology to the critical importance of reptiles within our world's ecosystems.

However, the chief aim of the NT Reptile Shows was to raise awareness and educate the local public as well as the tourists on being CROCWISE around the waters of northern Australia.

Although rare, human/crocodile conflicts do occur in Australia and often end in sad endings for both sides. Being CROCWISE can save your life and the lives of many crocodiles.

School Education

Our team also provided educational presentations and talks for primary schools and high schools in the Palmerston and Darwin areas.

Here, we focused on the younger generation and, through entertainment, we educated them on the importance of reptiles within our ecosystems. Up close and personal with some of our beautiful Australian native snakes, lizards and turtles within their classrooms is an experience that they carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Particular attention was given to the correction of myths and common misconceptions, such as that snakes are not slimy, crocodiles are very intelligent, all reptiles feel emotions and have different personalities, and much more!
